Some changes coming to Hollywood after fatal shooting involving Alec Baldwin.
Hollywood is taking action following the tragic shooting on the set of Alec Baldwin’s film “Rust.” Showrunners on ABC’s police drama “The Rookie” and Amazon Prime Video’s superhero show “The Boys” have banned the use of live guns on their sets. According to an email sent to the crew by The Rookie showrunner Alexi Hawley, Air Soft guns will be used exclusively, and muzzle flashes will be added in post-production via CGI. The changes come in response to the incident where Baldwin, who is also a producer on the movie Rust, discharged a prop gun on the New Mexico set of the indie Western film, leaving cinematographer Halyna Hutchins dead and injuring director Joel Souza. The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed.
