International Overdose Awareness and Remembrance Day

Every day, we see lives around us being changed and lost due to overdose. Overdose does not discriminate– it could be you or someone you love, a friend, colleague or your neighbor. This year on International Overdose Awareness and Remembrance Day, Cape Breton needs your support. Join the Ally Centre of Cape Breton and Public Health on Friday August 31st from 12pm-2pm at the Wentworth Park band shell for an afternoon of remembrance, hope and action. Come remember those who we have lost to overdose and learn how to prevent future overdoses. There will be free refreshments, live music, and free onsite naloxone training along with a memorial service for those who have passed.
