We all scream for Iceland
If you’re more than a little frustrated about how 2020 is going so far and you’d like to blow off a little steam, Iceland has a great idea for you. The Nordic island country in the North Atlantic is inviting exasperated people to record their loudest screams, which will then be broadcast into the vast wilderness there. In a tweet and a posting on their official website, the country’s tourism board says: “You’ve been through a lot this year and it looks like you need the perfect place to let your frustrations out. Somewhere big, vast and untouched. It looks like you need Iceland.” It goes on to invite people to record their scream, and they’ll “release it in Iceland’s beautiful, wide-open spaces.” Oh, and “When you’re ready, come and let it out for real. You’ll feel better. We promise.” On the website, you can record yourself, and you can listen to the screams of other frustrated individuals. The site also gives tips on how to muster up the best scream possible.
Looks like you’ve been through a lot. It looks like you need to let it out. It looks like you need Iceland. Record your scream from anywhere in the world at https://t.co/sTLs7Fafhi and we’ll release it in Iceland. You’ll feel better, we promise! #LetItOutIceland pic.twitter.com/YFoZeMIMNi
