The power of showers!
As our day-to-day lives continue to changes amid the coronavirus pandemic, many people are joking (or bragging) on social media about skipping the shower or the bath if they don’t have to go out that day. But according to a number of experts, sticking to your familiar hygiene habits is not only essential to keep your body healthy, it’s also important for mental health.
Bathing habits are being credited for helping our overall mood and well-being by keeping us on a regular schedule, helping our immune system, and as a way of “rebooting” our physical and psychological system. And even if you’re no longer working, that shower first thing in the morning is a way to start the day on the right track to productivity. On the other hand, an afternoon shower can serve as a way of stepping away from work, school or other tasks, allowing one to clear their head and get set for the next stage of the day. And an evening shower? You guessed right. It can calm you, allowing you to relax and prepare for a good night’s sleep.
“And for me, being naked is a good way of ensuring social distancing!”
